Bonsoir Dédédédé a écrit:

Question : 3 eme resserve , cela signifie quoi exactement ?

Re: MAS 36 1955

(Four of the nine examples listed will not close on "GO") Aside from this defect, both "Numbered" and "Sterile" units are possessed of the following anomalies:
1] They are unissued; perhaps unfired.
2] They are a collection of near-Armistice parts, some 'pickled'/acid-etched and not 'stoved'/blackened; some appearing to have been defective/rejected parts.
3] The top-flats of the rear sight have not had the stoving removed
4] Many of the spanner-notched screws appear to have been slotted before installation
5] The quality of assemblage is not as consistent, nor to the standard of serial-production examples.
6] The bayonets are from earlier rifles, or replacements of a latter-day.
7] None are import marked.
8] Some have incorrect sight-leafs, and will not shoot to point of aim.
9] They all have 'Type 2' factory receivers, some of the later type.
10] Some have a 'sticky' bolt-cap, which requires detenting the striker, and the use of a gripping tool, for removal.

These STERILE rifles appear to be as numerous, if not more so, than the "Numbered" examples. However, due to their nature, it is difficult to avoid double entries. I have settled upon the above as a representitive sampling, but will make further entries contingent upon any unique features which are observed.
Exclusive to the "Numbered" examples:
1] The font of the numbering to very different than that which is used upon the serialized rifles.
2] The bolt-stems, when marked, are numbered upon the outboard side.

TIR REDUIT.
22 calibre, full size MAS 1936 training rifle, made for and accepted by the Vichy military. By all indications this production run appears to be a minor footnote, with little more than 1,000 units being fabricated per month, at least during the first four months. But it is the earliest documented series to incorporate all of the design changes that make the post-Liberation "script prefix" blocks unique from the pre-June 25, 1940 Armastice, MAS 36s.

The "MYSTERY" rifles are eccentric to serial-production. They are divided only upon the basis of whether they have been stamped with an un-prefix number, or are sterile/devoid of any numbers. The "Sterile" examples uniquely exhibit improper headspace.
